Job Description:
We are currently seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented ServiceNow Solution Architect to join our client’s team in Reston, VA.
 
In this role, you will be responsible for overall technical design of ServiceNow solution and alignment of technical solution to solving business problems.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Functions as a Subject Matter Expert in assessment, design, and implementation of the ServiceNow platform needed to create an ITSM framework that support that program’s mission delivery needs in a way that positions Unisys as a leader in ITSM-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) based service delivery for our Federal Clients.
  • Be recognized in the industry as a notable expert in ServiceNow technology and use this knowledge to generate profitable revenue growth.
  • Translates customer goals and objectives into requirements to be levied on the ServiceNow implementation.
  • Develop transition approach to establish customer’s ITSM organizational process framework to include a roadmap and timeline for implementation.
  • Work within and across practices and organizations to design leading-edge ServiceNow solution and integrate 3rd party tools as needed to build comprehensive solutions that meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Conceptualize, architect, design, implement and integrate ServiceNow infrastructure and features to support customer’s service delivery needs.
  • Interface with the client’s highest technical executives.
  • Support deployment and post-deployment operations and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform.
 
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supports business capture activities as a solution engineer in providing innovative and effective technical solutions.
  • Collaborates with business development team to identify customer needs and new business opportunities. Supports pre-sales activities and leads technical proposal development.
  • Author whitepapers and presents in public events. Supports pre-sales customer meetings.
  • Fills a lead architect functional role with in-depth portfolio related technology specialization to build quality ServiceNow infrastructure solutions that meet the requirements and advices clients on Solution offerings, strategy, designs, specific technologies, implementation approaches and alternatives/tradeoffs.
  • Leads advisory services, strategic planning activities and business case development within assigned Unisys portfolio areas and infrastructure disciplines such as application/storage platforms, databases, networks, security and IT processes/operations/governance. Mentors junior architects on advisory services delivery.
  • Leads technical presentations to clients including features, implementation approach, technical requirements, impacts, and benefits.
  • Assumes a leadership position in supporting the CMS ServiceNow implementation.
  • Provides technical oversight for technical estimates created with standards tools, portfolio Work Breakdown Structures, statements of work and industry standard estimating techniques.
  • Uses portfolio solution knowledge and Portfolio Center resources to lead the technical portion of the bid process including design reviews, bid reviews, portfolio component selection, development case definition and system integration approach.
  • Analyzes and evaluates requirements against portfolio offerings and performs build vs. buy analyses.
  • Architects a complete solution using appropriate portfolio offerings with design elements that allow integration into client environment. Directs the activities of junior architects assigned to business development solution design.
  • May refine and optimize-infrastructure architectural models and creates architectural prototypes as required. Reviews the architectural artifacts and/or technology plans produced by junior architects.
  • Adheres to appropriate SDF processes, architectural artifact requirements and architectural best practices.
  • Is responsible for the solution integrity for the engagement.
  • Coordinates architect resources on all sized projects to develop the infrastructure architecture.
  • Maintains knowledge of technologies, industry trends, standards and design techniques.
 
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management processes.
  • 3+ years of experience analyzing ITSM maturity assessment results and establishing a transition roadmap that addresses organizational needs and constraints.
  • Experience identifying potential design, performance, security, and support problems, including ability to identify technical risks/challenges and develop relevant mitigation strategies.
  • 3+ years of solution development experience in standing up the IT support portion of an organizational level ITSM frameworks, including technical solution development, and phased implementation.
  • Experience in data and service integration, portal and dashboard development, service automation and orchestration, analytics.
  • Experience in Service Level Agreements (SLAs) reporting, Service Catalog development, and Service Catalog driven automation.
  • Ability to interface with team members at all levels, including business operations, finance, technology, and management.
  • Experience working with US Federal Government customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
 
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Experience or knowledge on Cloud and DevOps technologies (such as AWS, Azure, OpenStack, VMWare, ansible, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in leading team through ITSM capability implementation and maturity.
  • Project planning and project management.
  • Experience with developing in ServiceNow and Remedy environments.
  • Experience in applying artificial intelligence in end user support preferred.
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management solution, such as Splunk preferred.
